Dear Fellow Resident,
On Monday, September 1st, we celebrate Labor Day, our nation’s tribute to the contributions and achievements of the American worker. Established in the late 19th century during a period of significant growth and change, the holiday was created to honor the labor movement and recognize the essential role that working men and women have played in building and sustaining our communities, economy, and way of life. Today, it also serves as a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate the hard work that continues to drive our country forward.
In that same spirit, I want to extend heartfelt thanks to our Harrison Township team, our department heads, staff, and all who serve our residents each day. Your dedication, hard work, and commitment are evident in everything you do – from maintaining our public spaces and providing essential services to supporting our events and ensuring our township runs smoothly. It is through your efforts that Harrison Township remains such a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.
As the unofficial end of summer approaches, we look forward to new beginnings with the start of Harrison Township’s school year on September 4th. Please join me in wishing our students, teachers, and families a successful and rewarding year ahead— one filled with learning, growth, and lasting memories.
On behalf of my fellow Committee Members, Deputy Mayor Lawrence Moore and Committeemen TJ Coakley, Kevin French, and Jeff Jacques, I wish you and your family a happy, safe, and enjoyable Labor Day.
Warm regards,
Adam Wingate
Mayor, Harrison Township
