Harrison Township will conduct its annual Curbside Leaf Collection Program beginning the week of October 27, 2025, through the week of December 29, 2025.
Please note: There will be no leaf collection during the week of November 24 as the Public Works Department prepares for the Lights on Main celebration.
To keep collection organized and efficient, the Township is divided into six zones.

Collection Guidelines
- Once the leaf crews have passed your home, requests for additional pickups cannot be accommodated until the next scheduled week.
- Please do not place additional leaves curbside until your next scheduled pickup.
- If you hire a private landscaper or contractor, they must remove leaves or schedule cleanup to align with the Township’s collection weeks.
- Do not place leaves in bags. The vacuum collection equipment can be damaged, and bags may pose a safety hazard.
How to Prepare Your Leaves
- Place leaves in windrows (long, narrow piles) curbside by the start date for your zone.
- Keep leaves at least 10 feet away from storm drains.
- Do not park vehicles in front of leaf piles.
- Windrows should contain only leaves — no grass, sticks, branches, or debris.
Additional Options
- Leaves may be placed in brown yard carts for regular weekly pickup through the end of November.
- Leaves and all other vegetation can be taken to the Recycle Center at 151 Colson Lane.
- The collection schedule is a guideline. Crews may move faster or slower depending on weather and volume.
