Carnival for a Cause

Richwood United Methodist Church invites you to join their Carnival for a Cause, a fun-filled outdoor event  for the whole family! Admission is free and open to all, with costs applying for food, select games, and auction tickets. Guests can look forward to exciting contests and games for kids and adults, delicious food for sale—including burgers, hot dogs, soft pretzels, frozen bananas, popcorn, cotton candy, and more—and a variety of entertainment. Highlights include a free magic show at 3:00 p.m. (bring a lawn chair!), face painting, clowns, and three exciting auctions: a Basket Auction filled with prizes, a Silent Auction featuring two brand new bikes, and a Dessert Auction showcasing homemade treats.

In the event of inclement weather, activities will be moved indoors.

Proceeds from the Carnival will benefit the Jacob’s Ladder Homeschool Nature Center, part of Jacob’s Ladder Rescue Inc., a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to reconnecting people with nature and supporting neurodivergent and disabled children who are homeschooled out of necessity. Nestled in the beautiful forests outside Mullica Hill, the Nature Center provides unique outdoor adventure programs designed to inspire exploration, hands-on learning, and creative play. Children build problem-solving skills, develop leadership, and connect with peers while enjoying the wonders of the natural world.
