Spring Time on Main Street

It is spring time on Main Street in Mullica Hill. You can always tell when the weather has broken by the bright blue umbrellas back on Blue Plate’s patio. Asparagus season kicks off the year and farm to fork specials abound. Breakfast on the weekends means a line out the door. They have won awards for those pancakes! Nicer weather affords customers extra seating outside, and a pleasant wait on the sidewalk. For specials call 856 478 2112.

But the spring has brought a lot more than outdoor seating and farm freshness. This year Main Street has seen a burst of new shops added to the list. La Mademoiselle Macaron, a french bakery located in rear barn at 41 South Main Street. With the main focus on macarons, the self-taught owner has a passion for her product. The bakery has an average of 12 flavors a week like the most famous vanilla, strawberries and cream, blackberry, raspberry, chocolate, Paris tea, pineapple, lemon and more. Plus tarts, pastries and afternoon teas. Parties and special occasions can be held here too. Contact Raquel Dilsaver at (443) 699-0769.

Across the way a whole building renovation brought us White Washed at 36 South Main Street. With a mix of Vintage and antique, painted furniture in a soft tone. Slightly french and very sweet. With Thistle, located in the cottage, brings more vintage love. Peach Tree finds mixes in some retro vintage. And Priscilla’s Formal Ware has beautiful gowns for black tie events.

We have added Deeply Rooted at 53 North Main Street. This shop has more beautiful antiques with plantings mixed in. Or check out the Parsonage who just opened a few weeks ago offering anything and everything antique. The street has added so much more! Handmade soap, more antiques and there is still more to come! Check out all the excitement at www.mullicahill.com for shop info and a list of upcoming events. Or go on Facebook. The fall is always a fun time around here. If you would like to be a fall vendor call (856) 223-5440. Our Fall open house and Civil War Living History weekend is a 2 day event Oct 14th and 15th and packed with fun. Hope to see you down town!
