To Our Harrison Residents,
I am pleased to announce that late yesterday evening President Biden signed a disaster declaration for Gloucester County. Today the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Deanne Criswell and a contingent of regional FEMA leaders, representatives from the Governor’s Office and the Superintendent of the NJ State Police, Colonel Patrick Callahan visited Mullica Hill. Director Criswell met with me along with Gloucester County Commissioner Director Bob Damminger, Jack DeAngelo County OEM Coordinator and Harrison Township OEM leadership on site of a devastated area in town.
FEMA has already initiated services by providing a Mobile Information Reception Site located in the parking lot of the Gloucester County Library, Mullica Hill Branch, 389 Wolfert Station Road. It will be manned with multiple representatives to register your claim. For a quick overview on how to prepare for the clams process, please review the Start Your Recovery Flyer Here and the more detailed FEMA Recovery Information Here.
To assure that all resources are available to our residents, I have accepted an invitation to join a roundtable meeting with President Biden, State Leadership and other Mayors tomorrow in Somerset County, New Jersey.
The clean-up stage continues tomorrow morning with the assistance of our county and state partners.
As we work through this, our community has redefined the Harrison Strong spirit and taken it to an incomprehensible level. Thank you……….keep it up!
