Mayor’s Message – 9/11 Commemoration

Harrison Township

Dear Fellow Residents,

As we approach Patriot Day on September 11th, I invite you to join us for Harrison Township’s Annual Patriot Day Commemoration on Wednesday, 6:30 pm at Mullica Hill Baptist Church and our 9/11 Memorial, 18 South Main.

Patriot Day marks a solemn moment in our nation’s history—a time for us to come together to honor the memory of those we lost and to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of our first responders. It is a day of remembrance and unity for our country. It is an opportunity to reflect on the resilience of the American spirit and the strength we draw from one another in the face of adversity. We remember the innocent lives taken on that tragic day and stand together to honor the heroes who rushed in to save others.

As we remember the first responders who acted with bravery on September 11th, let us also express our deepest gratitude to the men and women who serve right here in our town. In Harrison Township, we are blessed with dedicated first responders who serve and protect our community with unwavering commitment every day. On behalf of our community, Thank You.

I hope you and your family will join fellow residents and our Committee Members—Deputy Mayor Lawrence Moore, Committeewoman Michelle Powell, and Committeemen Jeff Jacques and Kevin French, as we reflect, honor, and express our collective appreciation on 9/11.

Together for Harrison Township,
Lou Manzo
Your Mayor
