June 7 – A message from Mayor Manzo regarding COVID-19

From the Desk of the Mayor
Harrison Township, New Jersey

June 7, 2020

I’m writing to share with you information on Rowan University’s five part virtual series to address the national unrest that has followed the May 25 death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

We Are Not Ok: Injustice, Action, and Healing Series will focus on educating, supporting and providing resources in light of Mr. Floyd’s death and the reaction to it. Each session will offer an opportunity for participants to voice concerns and contribute to the development of action plans that lead to sustainable change. You can find more information here.

I’m looking forward to initiating dialogue and leading actions for change in our community.

As a reminder, tomorrow evening (Monday) from 8 – 8:30PM at Ella Harris parking lot (Rt. 77 side) there will be a Candlelight Vigil in remembrance of George Floyd. The event will be supported by our town leadership and all residents are welcome – for more details.

Together for Harrison Township,
Lou Manzo
