News and Announcements

Chief Ronald Cundey of the Harrison Township Police Department is proud to announce that the Harrison Township Police Department (HTPD) has adopted the “National Law Enforcement and Community Policing Integrated Network”, commonly referred to as the “OPS Network”; the nation’s first and only Community Policing and Law Enforcement Network.

With the OPS Network, HTPD officers and Harrison Township community members now have access to endless tools to seamlessly work together.

“Our officers and community partners will now capitalize on this cutting-edge technology.” said Chief Cundey. “Unlike anything we have utilized before, OPS is an actual network that creates a true and transparent partnership with each community member and all participating agencies. This is exactly what law enforcement, and our community has needed for many years.”

Chief Cundey continued that with the new platform, community members will be able to easily share tips with the police department, subscribe for alerts, commend officers, file concerns, ask questions, register family members with special needs, share surveillance camera information, download important forms, learn about the department and much more.

Chief Cundey stated that OPS requires no logins or APP downloads, is completely web based and works from any computer or smartphone. “All of our community members can now participate and partner with the department.” “We are very excited to leverage this new technology to advance our community to police partnership commitment, while at the same time assisting our law enforcement officers by providing them with much needed tools to navigate modern policing.” says Chief Cundey.

The new Harrison Township Police Department OPS Community Interface can be visited at https://www.htpdnj.com while at the same time, community partners can submit direct 100% secure and anonymous Tips to the HTPD by typing HTPD.TIPS into any computer, tablet or smartphone.
