Smiles4Cures 5k Run & 1 mile walk

The Smiles4Cures 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk is a community event supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The 5K Run/Walk begins at 9:00 AM and will be chip-timed with instant results. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female winners, as well as first-place finishers in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, and every subsequent 10-year group.
The 1-Mile Walk, starting shortly after the 5K, is untimed with no awards but includes race apparel for all participants. After the race, runners can enjoy hot chocolate, and music will play until 11:00 AM.
All registered participants will receive a custom race T-shirt (XS-XXL). Registration must be completed by February 24 to guarantee a shirt. The race will be held rain or shine, with no refunds or deferrals. Participants should arrive between 8:15 AM and 8:45 AM to collect race materials.

Smiles4Cures, led by Grace Calhoun, Lily Pedersen, and Rachael Williams—juniors at Clearview High School—is participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student Visionaries of the Year program. This prestigious seven-week national philanthropic competition empowers high school leaders to make a meaningful impact in the fight against blood cancers. By leveraging their leadership skills and community resources, students run independent fundraising campaigns. Smiles4Cures has set an ambitious goal of raising $50,000 between January 22 and March 15, 2025, through donations, events, corporate partnerships, and personal outreach. The team is incredibly grateful for the support received from local businesses and the broader community, recognizing that this collective effort is driving real change in the fight against blood cancers.
