Mullica Hill Asparagus Festival

The Mullica Hill Asparagus Festival returns Saturday, May 16, celebrating the 104th anniversary of a remarkable moment in American history. In 1922, a flight carried 800 pounds of fresh Gloucester County asparagus from a local farm to Boston dinner tables, marking the nation’s first commercial air shipment of fresh produce.
The festival’s highlight is the annual Battle of the Chefs, where nine talented local chefs and bakers compete with creative asparagus-inspired recipes. Defending champion Naples at The Warehouse returns to compete in this crowd-favorite event.
Visitors can also explore a vibrant marketplace featuring South Jersey makers, purchase fresh locally grown asparagus, and enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day.
Tickets are $25 for adults, and children ages 10 and under attend free.
