Experience a special film screening and discussion in partnership with Rowan University’s Radio, Television, and Film Department. Each month, Rowan professors introduce and analyze a selected film.

This month, Department Head Joseph Bierman presents The Quiet Man, a classic set in the 1920s. The film follows Sean “Trooper Thorn” Thornton, an Irish-born American and retired boxer who returns from Pittsburgh to his homeland of Inisfree to reclaim his family’s farm. There, he falls for the spirited Mary Kate Danaher, the sister of the domineering Squire “Red” Will Danaher, setting the stage for a timeless tale of love, rivalry, and tradition.
