As our nation approaches the 250th anniversary of its independence, Harrison Township is proud to launch a special community initiative, Revolutionary Roots: America250, in celebration of the Semiquincentennial.
The festivities kick off with a parade on Harrison Township Day on June 6, and all Harrison Township based organizations, businesses, and families are invited to be part of the celebration. More details on how to join the fun will be announced in the coming week. In addition, my fellow Committee members and I will share Revolutionary Roots: Growing A Nation, a series featured in Happening in the Hill that highlights defining moments, pivotal battles, and those whose courage and leadership helped shape the path to America’s independence.
This milestone is not only a time to reflect on our history, but also an opportunity to come together as a community. In the coming months, we will be announcing additional programing designed to celebrate this important chapter in our nations story.
We invite you to follow along, learn something new, and take part in Revolutionary Roots: America250 as we honor the past in celebration of America’s Semiquincentennial.
