Dear Fellow Resident,
Change is a cornerstone of our democracy. The process of electing new leaders and transferring responsibility reaffirms the foundation upon which our nation was built: a steadfast commitment to serving the “will of the people.” These transitions symbolize renewal—a chance to reflect on the past while embracing new opportunities and ideas that will shape our future.
Here in Harrison Township, we are entering a significant change in our leadership, as Mayor Louis Manzo concludes his remarkable 17 years of service on our Committee. During his tenure, Mayor Manzo has guided our town through challenges and opportunities with passion, wisdom, and an unwavering dedication to its residents
Lou Manzo’s legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of Harrison Township. From enhancing public services to championing our historic Main Street and supporting local businesses, he has always strived to balance progress with preserving our community’s unique charm. For those fortunate enough to know Lou personally, you’ve undoubtedly witnessed his energy, compassion, sincerity, and profound love for his family and community.
As Harrison Township prepares for this transition, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to Committeemen-elect TJ Coakley and Adam Wingate who will officially begin their term in January. On behalf of the entire Harrison Township Committee, we look forward to working alongside you.
Please join us for our final Township Committee meeting of the year on December 16th at 7PM, as we come together to celebrate this leadership transition, honor Mayor Manzo’s extraordinary contributions, and express our heartfelt gratitude for his dedicated service.
Together for Harrison Township,
Lawrence Moore
Deputy Mayor
