Registering Your Pet: Licenses are due by January 31st. You may purchase the licenses at the Municipal Building from the Municipal Clerk’s office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Before licensing, check the rabies vaccination expiration dates for your pets. If vaccination expires prior to November 1st, dogs and cats must be re-vaccinated. You may renew licenses by mail. If you renew by mail, just give us your pet(s) previous license number and send current rabies vaccination certificate(s), correct fees and a stamped, self-addressed envelope to return your documents with your new license(s). For first time licensing, fill out the attached Registration Form and submit correct fees, etc. same as above.
License fee for sterilized dogs is $8.20 and $11.20 if not. The license fee for sterilized cats is $2.00 and $5.00 if not. If dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, present a statement from your veterinarian indicating your pet(s) has been sterilized in order to receive the $3.00 deduction in the license fees.
If license(s) are not purchased by March 31st a late fee of $10 will be assessed for each license issued after this date. Please license your pets by the March 31st deadline to avoid summonses and court fines. The annual dog/cat census will begin on or about April 1.
